Imam Ehsan's Hijrah Walk from Makkah to Madinah for Widows and Orphans

British Pound

Delivering your Zakat and Sadaqah to those who need it most, and restoring hope. Founded by Imam Ehsanullah.

Why I am Walking
Inspired by the historic Hijrah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from Makkah to Madinah, I, Imam Ehsan, am undertaking the journey on foot between these two sacred cities from 23 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. The Hijrah reminds us of sacrifice, perseverance, faith and hope in the face of hardship. Through this personal challenge, I hope to raise vital funds for the suffering children in Gaza and inspire communities, individuals and businesses to respond with compassion and generosity. Throughout the journey, I will share reflections inspired by the Seerah, updates from the route, and messages encouraging people to support the children of Gaza and the suffering Ummah.
Why the children of Gaza
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to devastate children and families.According to UNICEF figures reported as of June 2026, more than 21,700 children have been reported killed and approximately 45,000 injured. UN assessments have also indicated that around 1.4 million people face crisis-level or worse food insecurity, while tens of thousands of children are at risk of acute malnutrition.Behind these figures are families struggling to secure food, clean water, healthcare and safe shelter. Children who should be enjoying their childhood are instead living with displacement, uncertainty and the consequences of prolonged conflict.
Why Mission Salaam
Through its Gaza Emergency Appeal, Mission Salaam has supported the provision of food, clean water and medical assistance through its humanitarian partners on the ground. The Hijrah Walk seeks to build on this work, bringing communities together to provide practical relief and renewed hope to children and families facing extraordinary hardship.Your contribution, whatever its size, will help Mission Salaam continue supporting families affected by the crisis. “He who alleviates the suffering of a brother...
